In 2011 "Sunny" Di re-located to Westchester County, New York, from upstate Rochester. She'd spent most of her adult life there working first in radio and later in public relations, where she directed publicity, organized special events, and managed volunteers for mostly nonprofit organizations. She prides herself on original and imaginative thinking: as a PR generalist who thrives on wearing many hats, creative challenges, and multiple projects, Di a great fit for our little enterprise.
Her work in radio news, public affairs, announcing, and interviewing combined with a pleasant voice and good articulation make her an asset to our new venture. She joined the former WDFH as a volunteer in the spring of 2011 and soon assumed the role of host and producer of For the Greater Good, a weekly public affairs program spotlighting the work of nonprofit groups throughout Westchester County and beyond. Di operates her own pet care business (Sunny Di Pet Care) specializing in hosting dogs in her home while their humans are away. She's a folk musician active with the Walkabout Clearwater Chorus and Coffeehouse and Tribes Hill. With her husband Tom, she volunteers with Greenburgh CERT, an organization that trains and prepares volunteers to support first responders during emergencies and disasters.
