(December 1, 2018) In the previous two episodes of OutCasting, we talked with Dr. John Steever, a physician, and Dr. Matthew Oransky, a psychologist, about transgender youth who want to transition. This month, we continue the series by talking with Amalee, one of our own OutCasting youth participants, who talks about the difficulties of being a young trans person, coming out to her family, the gradual process of beginning her medical transition, and her feelings concerning her present gender expression. OutCaster Alex interviews.
